Stress & Its Effects on Adolescents (2 Part Series)

About the Topic

Join us for this two part webinar (April 24 & May 22) as we discuss what’s stressing out our kids, what some of the effects of that stress look like and how we can help them. Did you know? For teens, the most commonly reported sources of stress are school (83%), getting into a good college or deciding what to do after high school (69%), and financial concerns for their family (65%).

About the Speaker

Angi earned her Master’s of Science in Clinical Counseling from Central Methodist University. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri and has recently earned her National Certified Counselor standards in 2021. Angi enjoys working with both adolescents and adults on issues regarding making life changes towards recovery, thoughts and feelings of anxiety, learning skills to enhance relationships with one’s self and others, understanding and navigating depression, building strong relationships, processing deep networks of trauma and most importantly, learning to love one’s self for who we are.

Resiliency and changing the cycle of addiction became a passion of Angi’s as she worked as a Children’s Division investigator. Recognizing the impact of substance use disorder and the structures of families directed her to pursue further education and thus she received her Master of Science degree from Central Methodist University in 2016.
